The Lobby Bar is a London institution – a dynamic drinking destination at the corner of Covent Garden, known for exquisite and inventive signature cocktails crafted by our master mixologists. It’s a favourite fixture of the West End, whether you’re settling in before a show or unwinding long after the curtain falls.
As the name suggests, rather than being tucked away our bar is at the beating heart of our lobby, punctuated with offbeat objets d’art and framed by the building’s Art Nouveau curves.

Halloween at One
We dare you to sip our spirited twist on the unexpected and raise a toast to the beautifully macabre at the Lobby Bar. Try An Eye for an Eye, blending Leblon Cachaça, Midori melon liqueur, apple liqueur and lime, a frighteningly good drink, whilst the 0% The Skeleton’s Stare, with apple and pineapple juice, lime and elderflower, promises the same.
A festive embroidery workshop with lunch
For those inspired by the talent behind the Bayeux tapestry, we’ve teamed up with the Royal School of Needlework, founded in 1872 and based at Hampton Court Palace, for a series of festive embroidery workshops at the hotel on Sunday 8th November, Sunday 22nd November and Sunday 6th December. Once your final stitch is in, you’ve earned a roast and a glass of wine in the Lobby Bar.
Gallery Cocktails
The One Aldwych private collection of contemporary art features 400 compelling pieces from incredible British artists and international rising stars. Like the art, the drinks explore the connection between nature and artist, celebrating modern distilleries and producers using traditional methods to bottle exciting and authentic flavours.
Food
In our Lobby Bar, the menu moves effortlessly from light bites to indulgent favourites. By day, expect elevated classics, from our club sandwich and One Aldwych beef burger to day boat fish in beer batter, alongside lighter options such as the One Aldwych poke bowl and toasted walnut bread with smoked aubergine. In the evening, the focus turns to sharing: British charcuterie and cheese, mini burgers with truffle mayonnaise, crab cakes and indulgent lobster brioche – all made for settling in over cocktails in the heart of Covent Garden.

The bar sits at the heart of the lobby itself, beneath soaring ceilings and the building’s Art Nouveau curves, with a mix of relaxed lounge seating and counter seating throughout. It’s an open, characterful space rather than a series of separate rooms – glamorous and buzzy, yet easy to find a quiet corner.
