Sunday Roast in Covent Garden

Sunday afternoons in Covent Garden were made for this – enjoy an indulgent roast at One Aldwych.

Begin with snacks for the table: treacle sourdough with onion butter, ham hock boudin or Orkney scallops to savour.

At the centre of the menu are the roasts – sirloin of Hereford beef with horseradish cream, Norfolk Black chicken with a brioche and truffle stuffing and Cornish saddle of lamb. Each arrives with everything a Sunday demands: Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and buttered carrots, with plenty of gravy. Looking for something a little lighter? Enjoy a Dover sole in lemon and caper butter, or a cream cheese gnocchi.

Save room for pudding… sticky toffee with vanilla ice cream, apple and blackberry crumble with custard, or a strawberry Eton mess.
