History
Stepping into the lobby of our important Edwardian building is to step into a moment in history, dressed up in style. Built in 1905 as the home of the Morning Post, we like to think it still inspires spirited conversation and connection.
Our cultured, independent hotel at the beating heart of London life.

As London’s first luxury hotel to achieve B Corp accreditation, our impact on the world is incredibly important to us.
Ideally located in the heart of Covent Garden, we are steps away from extraordinary dining, countless theatres and shopping, with cornerstones of British culture within easy reach.
We are extremely lucky to have Mark Siredzuk as our resident florist. His beautiful creations are at the centre of our dynamic lobby, and you’ll see his exceptional work featured throughout the hotel.
Our hotel is also home to a 400-strong collection of contemporary art and sculptures, conjuring the inviting and inspirational atmosphere of a gallery, mixed with the curated eccentricities of a private home.
One of the pleasures of staying at One Aldwych during Pride weekend is being able to explore on foot. Step outside and you’ll find Covent Garden alive with visitors enjoying the atmosphere.
This Christmas, we are proud to partner with BookTrust, the UK’s largest children’s reading charity.
There is always lots happening at One Aldwych. Be the first to know all about it with our regular news, latests offers and events.
