A Gleam of Mirrored Magic at One Aldwych

There’s something a little extraordinary shimmering above the streets of Covent Garden this Halloween. Standing proudly at the entrance to One Aldwych, a dazzling 12-foot skeleton catches the autumn light, and more than a few double-takes from passers-by.

This glittering guardian is the latest creation from our resident florist and designer, Mark Siredzuk, whose imagination transforms our hotel through every season. For this latest installation, Mark has hand-applied an astonishing 576,000 mirrored tiles, each one catching the light like a jewel. The result? A sculpture that gleams by day and glows by night, part disco ball, part ghostly wonder.

It’s a true labour of love, brought to life over 80 meticulous hours in Mark’s studio, and it’s quickly become something of a London landmark. Guests and locals alike can’t resist pausing to admire it (or sneak a photo or two), while the skeleton’s shimmering grin keeps silent watch over Aldwych.

Halloween in London has always had its own particular charm – a mix of dark nights, flickering candles, and a touch of the theatrical. Here at One Aldwych, that magic comes alive with pumpkin-lined steps, hauntingly beautiful cocktails in the Lobby Bar and the glittering company of our mirrored muse.

Halloween with us isn’t just for grown-ups. With half-term in full swing, families stopping by can soak up the spectacle together. Little ones wide-eyed at our glittering skeleton, while grown-ups enjoy a moment of sparkle (and perhaps a spooky cocktail or two).

Whether you’re stopping by for a spellbinding evening drink, an autumnal stay or simply to catch a glimpse of Mark’s extraordinary handiwork, you’ll find the spirit of the season alive and sparkling at One Aldwych.

Step closer… if you dare. 💀🪩
