The greatest story ever stitched, back on English soil for the first time in nearly a millennium.

Just a short stroll through Covent Garden and Bloomsbury brings you to the British Museum, our official partner for this landmark season. Here, one of the most anticipated cultural events of our lifetime unfolds: the Bayeux Tapestry on view, a loan from France in a historic, once-in-a-generation agreement.

Across 70 metres, 58 scenes and more than 600 embroidered figures, the Bayeux Tapestry tells the story of the Norman Conquest – the last successful invasion of England and one of history’s greatest tales. Displayed flat in one continuous length for the first time, this is the tapestry as it has never been seen before, and a moment unlikely to come again.

Experience the story with an overnight stay, exhibition tickets for two and a cocktail in the Lobby Bar inspired by the threads of the tale.
