One Aldwych and Sipsmith announce a B Corp™ cocktail collaboration
London // June 2025 – One Aldwych, London’s first five-star B Corp™ hotel, has collaborated with fellow B Corp brand Sipsmith to create a trio of sustainably-driven drinks launching on 14 June 2025 – World Gin Day.
This bringing together of two London-based B Corp brands that place the environment, community and clients at the heart of everything they do, marks a longstanding history between One Aldwych and Sipsmith with the hotel one of their very first trade clients with bottles of gin being sped over in the early days by moped from Sipsmith’s distillery in West London. Now, they have come together to create three drinks that are as environmentally conscious as they are delicious. These will be mixed and served in the hotel’s iconic Lobby Bar, which recently underwent enhancements by Fabled Studio and now features a beautiful reflective installation on its ceiling.
The summer menu, which is seasonally inspired and will evolve in the autumn, comprises a signature Rooftop Bee’s Knees (£22) of Sipsmith London Dry Gin, Drambuie, honey from One Aldwych’s very own beehives on the rooftop with bitters, lemon and orange; a fruity Scarlett Sip (£22) of Sipsmith London Dry Gin, Martini Fiero Vermouth, Chapel Down Rosé, Peychaud’s bitters, strawberry and soda. A refreshing alcohol-free Garden Bliss 0% (£14) features Sipsmith FreeGlider, elderflower, ginger beer, cucumber, lime and mint.
On this collaboration, Janine Marshall, One Aldwych’s Managing Director commented ‘We are thrilled with this collaboration with Sipsmith, a brand which holds similar values to our own and is also London based. We are always looking at how we can adapt and innovate and this B Corp cocktail list provides the perfect sip for summer and something new for our guests to experience in the surroundings of our recently refurbished Lobby Bar’.
Sipsmith’s Master Distiller, Jared Brown went on to say “It is impressive that One Aldwych committed itself to achieving B Corp status, and I am overjoyed to partner with such an exceptional bar team in such elegant surroundings. I write this having just sipped a gorgeous Bee’s Knees in the hotel’s truly beautiful Lobby Bar—perfect tranquillity with a view of the pre-theatre crowd emerging from the Strand.”

About One Aldwych
Covent Garden’s cultured, independent hotel – a true modern oasis, privately-owned, standing proud within the distinctive, stand-alone, triangular building, former home of the great Morning Post newspaper, at the point where the City meets the West End. With stunning spacious, clean, contemporary interiors by Fabled Studio and Robert Angell, embellished with Art Nouveau flourishes inspired by the building – and spirited English touches – warm, welcoming and a little unconventional. The result is an exquisite, expressive, original style as befits a truly independent London hotel. Covent Garden’s neighbourhood restaurant, Indigo, is the home of simply delicious dishes by Chef Dominic Teague, using ingredients from the best British independent producers – while the hotel’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired afternoon tea is a firm favourite with young and old alike. Other facilities include the Lobby Bar, The Library, and Health Club with 18-metre / 59-foot chlorine-free swimming pool, spa and gym. One Aldwych is the proud recipient of One Key in the inaugural Michelin Guide to Hotels 2024 and achieved B Corp status in September 2024.
About Sipsmith
Sipsmith is the quintessential London Dry Gin.
The talented Sipsmith distilling team go to extraordinary lengths to distil a gin of truly uncompromising quality. Every drop is handcrafted in small batches in West London, by a handful of dedicated distillers, using a traditional ten botanical recipe.
Pioneers of the gin renaissance, Sipsmith was the first craft distillery in London for 200 years and its gin is still distilled on four copper stills: Prudence, Patience, Constance and Verity. Being handcrafted on copper allows their team to create truly sippable spirits, by removing all impurities from the base spirit and botanicals.
Since Sipsmith’s creation in 2009, “Cygnus Inter Anates” has been engraved into their bottles; Latin for “Be a Swan Amongst Ducks” (a reference to the signature Sipsmith swan motif and the swan’s neck on their iconic stills). This philosophy is embedded into the Sipsmith brand as a point of reference to strive for the best – achieving their signature handcrafted quality gin, the way it should be made.
In 2020, Sipsmith became the Official Gin Partner of The Championships, Wimbledon. As two quintessentially British and London-based establishments with a dedication to craftsmanship and quality, this partnership presents the perfect match. 2025 marks the fifth year Sipsmith will be the Official Gin Partner.
In 2021, Sipsmith achieved B Corp status. The team created the strategy ‘Crafting a Better Future’, a five-pillar framework to support Sipsmith’s in making the best gin in the world, for the world. In 2024, Sipsmith recertified as a B Corp, achieving an overall score of 92.4, a 9.2 point increase (50.9 is the median score worldwide).
Sipsmith London Dry Gin has won over 30 international awards and is used by top bartenders across the globe. Recent additional Sipsmith award wins have included: Second favourite brand for Bartenders in ‘Brands Report 2025: Bartenders’ Choice’ and the following workplace accolades in 2023: 9th in the Top 10 Food & Drink Companies, 28th in the Top 50 Best Small Companies in London and 85th in the Top 100 Best Small Companies in the UK.
