October 2024 (London, UK) – This festive season, One Aldwych, Covent Garden’s cultured, independent hotel, has invited the sustainable fashion resale platform, The Cirkel, to open a pop-up offering guests and Covent Garden visitors a unique, eco-friendly shopping experience.
The Library at One Aldwych will play host to the exclusive ‘Festive Edit’ over two long weekends in November and December. Shoppers will be able to buy curated second-hand fashion in the beautiful setting of One Aldwych’s Enchanted Forest, which will return in 2024 with a magical snowy twist. The crafted, nature-inspired tree is the focal point, with its birch branches and snow-capped wild vines reaching up to the balcony of Indigo restaurant and around the grand pillars. Created in
collaboration with resident florist Mark Siredzuk, the woodland stretches out as far as One Aldwych’s beloved entrance: the perfect photo frame for capturing magical memories.
Curated by The Cirkel, the ‘Festive Edit’ will feature thousands of designer womenswear items, from party-ready pre-loved pieces to essential winter daytime staples. Shoppers can expect trending designs from labels like Isabel Marant and TOTEME to Anine Bing and Rixo, as well as the highly sought-after Cirkel LUXE collection – an impeccably curated assortment of high-end luxury items from iconic brands such as Chanel and Bottega Veneta all at huge discounts.
Taking place from Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th November and Thursday 28th November – Sunday 1st December, each day will see a selection of new products available to purchase.
The Cirkel is the fashion resale platform founded by creative, sustainability entrepreneur, Eliza Batten. Their mission is to reduce the impact of fashion by elevating the second-hand experience, whilst remaining kind to your wallet and good for the planet.
“At One Aldwych we have long championed and adopted sustainable, mindful and local practices that reduce our environmental impact and maximise impact on our global wellbeing. From kitchens to bathrooms, responsible sourcing to culinary partners, this has long been our way of life. With The
Cirkel’s shared commitment to a planet-first mindset and championing of circular fashion, the partnership couldn’t be more fitting” commented Janine Marshall, Managing Director of One Aldwych.
Following time perusing The Cirkel’s rails, shoppers can unwind with a festive cocktail by One Aldwych’s imaginative mixologists or dine in Indigo. Signature drinks include The Festive Sour, crafted with whisky, plum eau de vie, apricot brandy liqueur, citrus, and ginger cardamom. Another standout is Mistletoe Kiss, featuring pink grapefruit gin, raspberry eau de vie, English rose aperitif, spiced berry cordial, fresh cranberries, and Champagne.
Shoppers can also finish their shopping experience with a delicious meal in Indigo, One Aldwych’s signature restaurant and neighbourhood jewel famed for flavour. Overseen by Chef Dominic Teague, Indigo’s menu exemplifies his childhood love of the outdoors and what each season brings. Dominic goes to extraordinary lengths to source his ingredients from trusted, British independent producers who support his commitment to seasonal and sustainable cooking that is ever-changing and always
exciting.

One Aldwych – Covent Garden’s cultured, independent hotel – a true modern oasis, privately owned, standing proud within the distinctive, stand-alone, triangular building, former home of the great Morning Post newspaper, at the point where the City meets the West End. With stunning spacious, clean, contemporary interiors by Fabled Studio and Robert Angell, embellished with Art Nouveau flourishes inspired by the building – and spirited English touches – warm, welcoming and a little unconventional. The result is an exquisite, expressive, original style as befits a truly independent London hotel. Covent Garden’s neighbourhood restaurant, Indigo, is the home of simply delicious dishes by Chef Dominic Teague, using ingredients from the best British independent producers – while the hotel’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired afternoon tea is a firm favourite with young and old alike.
