It may be a wrap on this year’s movie award season but there’s still so much to enjoy at Film & Fizz.  Join us at One Aldwych for Covent Garden’s ultimate cinema experience with a line up bursting with plenty of Oscar-winning titles, thrilling dramas and hilarious novel adaptations.

Perfect for an out-of-the-ordinary date night or a fun evening with friends, settle into One Aldwych’s intimate cinema to watch the latest releases, hand-picked by the celebrated film fanatics at Curzon. A glass of Champagne and popcorn set the tone for a great evening. Choose to dine in Indigo or Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar where you will enjoy a delicious three-course dinner – perfect for discussing the movie afterwards.

Award-winning Movies

Catch the films that everyone has been talking about at the recent Golden Globes, BAFTAs and Oscars with our screenings of Parasite, Joker and Judy.

Parasite recently made Academy Award history when it picked up the Best Film award, making it the first foreign language film to do so. And it didn’t stop there, the black comedy thriller from South Korea’s Bong Joon-ho also won Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film.

Sweeping up the Best Actor award at all three ceremonies, Joaquin Phoenix impressed audiences with his captivating performance as the Joker. Whilst Renée Zellweger steps out on stage as Judy Garland in her dazzling portrayal of a true showbiz legend, which won her the Best Actress accolade.

Parasite – 6 & 7 March
Joker – 13 March
Judy – 14 March

Beloved Adaptations

Whether you are a Charles Dickens enthusiast or a Jane Austen admirer, these legendary British novelists take centre stage for two quirky adaptations, The Personal History of David Copperfield and Emma.

Reimagined with a comedic twist, step back into Victorian London with Armando Iannucci’s flamboyant take on Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield. Expect to see lots of familiar faces with its all-star British cast including Dev Patel, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Hugh Laurie and Tilda Swinton.

Reintroducing Jane Austen’s alluring matchmaker to the silver screen, this glittering satire of social class follows the handsome, clever and rich Emma Woodhouse as she meddles in the romantic affairs of her friends and loved ones.

Emma – 20, 21 & 22 March

Treat Mum to a special Mother’s Day screening of Emma on Sunday 22 March.

Riveting True Stories

Whether it is exposing the CEO of Fox News or uncovering a dark secret linked to one of the world’s biggest corporations, explosive lawsuits are heating up in Bombshell and Dark Waters.

Gretchen Carlson takes one giant leap for womankind in Bombshell when she decides to reveal her story of sexual harassment against Fox News founder. Discovering there are other women also willing to speak their voice, it sparks a movement that reverberates around the world.

In the shocking and heroic true story of Dark Waters, a secret is hidden by one of the world’s biggest chemical companies until a tenacious attorney is ready to risk everything to bring justice to a community dangerously exposed for decades to deadly chemicals.

Bombshell – 21 & 22 February
Dark Waters – 27 & 28 March
