Romany & Ricardo

The Royal Ballet and Royal Opera House are synonymous with Covent Garden. First Artist Romany Pajdak and First Soloist Ricardo Cervera from the Royal Ballet spent time with us in the hotel's Dome Suite sharing personal stories, including early dance memories and their latest favourites.
Romany grew up in Covent Garden and has watched the area develop around her as her career with the Royal Ballet has flourished. Both she and Ricardo have a genuine excitement for The Royal Opera House, labelling it as “one of the most amazing places to perform”. This excitement continues into their feelings on the area's recent revival and both are visibly energised by the blend of old and new - from much-loved institutions to the hottest new openings, all of which embody the unique nature of Covent Garden with its personal service and local vibe.

When taking a break from the practice rooms set high above The Piazza, Romany and Ricardo can often be found on Floral Street, where their favourite boutiques include Paul Smith and Paul & Joe. For after the show, they are experts on late-night restaurants - J. Sheekey, The 10 Cases and Polpo are all top picks for a post-show bite.
