This passion has resulted in her choosing our spot on the River Thames for the ground-breaking Garden Bridge project. When she dropped into Lounge at One she explained that "there's something about a garden in an unexpected place that's always rather thrilling.". Joanna dreamt up the idea of a pedestrian-only river crossing filled with trees and flowers, and the bridge, which should be completed in 2018, is her tribute to the city.
As well as fun stories and memories, Joanna wanted to tell us about how Covent Garden retains its vibrancy. "The huge theatres that are still having smash-hits" and "the delicious tiny restaurants" are just some of the things that keep her coming back.
