This satirical comedy from Spike Lee is based on the incredible true story of Ron Stallworth, the first African-American detective to serve with the Colorado Springs Police Department. Set in the 1970s, Detective Stallworth, played by John David Washington (son of Denzel), learns of a plot to make the Ku Klux Klan mainstream and sets out to expose the group. Together with fellow detective Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), Stallworth undertakes a dangerous investigation to eliminate the extremist hate group.
