London is justifiably proud of its markets, most of which date back to mediaeval times. Many of London's best are right on One Aldwych's doorstep and make a great day out. From London's oldest market, Borough Market, which is seeing a revival as a foodie haven with its organic produce market, to the eclectic retail wonders of Covent Garden's Apple Market.
