The Story

Based on a true story in the summer of 1967, rioting and civil unrest is tearing Detroit apart. A report of gunshots alert the Police Department, the State Police and the Army Nationals to take action at the nearby Algiers Motel. Seizing the annex of the motel, guests are forcefully and viciously interrogated to provide information, resulting in men being gunned down and several more being beaten. From award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow.
