Location
Bang in the middle of London in Covent Garden, between the City and the West End. One Aldwych has a great location at the point where The Aldwych meets the Strand, directly opposite Waterloo Bridge.  Within walking distance of 15 major theatres, the Royal Opera House and many well known London galleries including the Tate Modern, Somerset House, The National Gallery and the South Bank.

Building
Built in 1907 for The Morning Post Newspaper, the hotel is one of the most important Edwardian buildings in London, now protected by English Heritage.  Designed by Charles Mewes and Arthur Davis, the Anglo-French partnership behind the Ritz hotels in London and Paris.

Accommodation
105 five star rooms and suites (93 rooms and 12 suites).  There are six room categories: Aldwych Rooms, Executive Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Studio Suites, Executive Suites, and Deluxe Suites.  Also available are interconnecting rooms and rooms with wheelchair access.

Deluxe Suites 
72-74 square metres / 775-797 square feet
There are three top Deluxe Suites, each available as one or two bedroom.

Suite 410
Large circular sitting room with fantastic views of Waterloo Bridge and The River Thames.  Private gymnasium, guest cloakroom and double bedroom.

Suite 500
Spacious sitting room with private roof terrace and stunning views over The Aldwych and the rooftop of the Royal Opera House.  Double bedroom, gymnasium, kitchen and guest cloakroom.

The Dome Suite
Located on the top floor, the Dome Suite has a large sitting room with a unique circular dining room for 10 guests, guest cloakroom and large double bedroom.

Each Deluxe Suite has a Wii console with a pair of controls. A number of games are available to borrow during your stay.

Eating and Drinking

Axis at One Aldwych
Restaurant with a striking design and exciting Modern British menus. A weekly fixed price menu is available at lunchtime and for pre and post theatre supper and the restaurant may be booked for exclusive use.  Open Tuesday to Saturday.  Lunch: Tuesday to Friday 12.00pm - 2.30pm.  Dinner: Tuesday to Friday 5.30pm - 10.45pm (last table reservation) and Saturday 5.00pm - 11.30pm (last table reservation).

Rotunda Bar
Circular bar adjacent to the main restaurant, great for pre-dinner drinks and nibbles.

Indigo Restaurant
Relaxed informal restaurant overlooking the buzzing Lobby Bar.  Creative modern European cuisine, with organic, light and healthy options.  Open every day for breakfast, lunch, pre and post theatre supper and dinner.  Breakfast: 6.30am - 11.00am.  Lunch - Monday to Friday: 12.00pm - 3.00pm (last table reservation).  Brunch - Saturday and Sunday: 12.00pm - 3.00pm (last table reservation). Dinner: 5.30pm - 11.15pm (last table reservation), 5.30pm - 10.15pm on Sundays (last table reservation).

Afternoon tea is served in Indigo on Saturday afternoons from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Movies on the Menu
Most Fridays and Saturdays: a glass of Champagne, three course dinner in Axis at One Aldwych and a movie in the luxurious private screening room.
£42.50 per adult including VAT and service charge.

The Lobby Bar
Named one of the top five hotel bars in the world by the Sunday Telegraph.  Serious cocktails, delectable bar food, brilliant buzz.  Drinks served Monday to Friday, 8am - midnight; Saturdays 9am - midnight; Sundays 8am - 10.30pm. Bar food served Monday to Saturday 11am - 11pm.

The Health Club at One Aldwcyh

Health Club and Pool
150 square metre/ 1,600 square feet, state-of-the-art gymnasium with 24 hour access for guests, personal trainers, 18m/56 foot chlorine free swimming pool with underwater music, luxury steam and sauna rooms.

Health and Beauty Treatments
Three fully equipped treatment rooms offering a comprehensive range of health and beauty treatments from Natura Bissé.

Meetings and Private Dining
Eight flexible contemporary spaces for meetings, private dining and receptions.  Each room is fully air conditioned with state-of-the-art technology including Wi-Fi.  Friendly professional service complements a fabulous choice of inventive original food.  One Aldwych is licensed to hold civil marriage and partnership ceremonies.  There is disabled access to all Meeting and Private Dining rooms. Capacities: lunch/dinner up to 100, receptions up to 200, theatre-style meetings up to 50 and boardroom meetings up to 30.

Screening Room
A fully equipped multi-media Screening Room seating up to 30 in graduated comfortable, Italian-made cinema seating. Fully air conditioned. Ideal for theatre-style meetings, presentations and movie screenings.

Concierge
Our Concierge is delighted to provide you with advice and information on things to see and do in London during your stay or assist you with any arrangements including restaurant reservations, car rental or airport transfers. The Concierge can also organise tickets to the theatre, opera or ballet.

Art
One Aldwych has a private contemporary art and sculpture collection of over 400 items displayed throughout the hotel.

Florist
Flowers at One is open from 10am - 6pm, Monday to Friday, and is responsible for creating all of the flower arrangements throughout the hotel.
