This oriental fairytale of disguised identities, riddles, ritual executions and powerful, triumphant love makes a spectacular production. Featuring the great aria 'Nessun dorma', as well as others from the grand to the tragic, The Royal Opera will provide the perfect setting for Puccini's final opera.

Rigoletto

Verdi's Rigoletto is one of the best-known of all great operas and this powerful staging brings back the cruel and beautiful collide of a corrupt society, at the head of which is the womanising and carefree young Duke of Mantua. Rigoletto, the deformed court jester, has to play a hard game to survive.

Due to overwhelming popular demand, English National Opera revives Mozart's The Magic Flute in 2009. A sparkling ensemble will delight audiences with its blend of knockabout humour and theatrical spectacle.

The action is set in 1930s Paris and seeks to emphasise the naturalism and psychological truth of Puccini's tragic masterpiece. Telling the tale of the struggling artist Rodolfo and his tragic lover Mimi, the opera is set to a passionate and unforgettable score.
